Waiting for the Seagull

This little piece is on display at Eggleston Gallery in my current show (opening reception June, 10, 2016).  Acrylic,  silver leaf on wood panel,  measuring 8″x8″.
I had the silver leaf background done for a few years now, the panel sitting quietly in my studio, waiting for the Seagull. The reason for waiting was that   cloud shaped “mishap”,  where the silver leaf didn’t adhere quite well, which I loved from the beginning just didn’t find the right element to use it with. The “mishap” had such a presence that it didn’t need much more…the Seagull was the perfect companion.
